Tommy Reilly, 18, from Glasgow is still in the competition and has become a firm fan favourite.

Did you enjoy the pressure of playing one song to impress a panel of judges each week?

“It’s great playing week in and week out in front o f all those judges, I get a great buzz out of it”

How has your being on the show benefitted your career?

“Because of it I’ve been getting all these people on my Myspace page looking at me, the new fans I’ve gained from the whole competition has just been great.”

Whats your plans for 2009?

“Next year I’m gonna gig like mental. I’m going to try and play every offer I get. It’s all unbelievable.”

Do you think you can win?

“I’ve no idea what my chances are of winning. All the music is so different as well, it’s going to be hard to call, whatever the result is it’s gonna be pretty tight.”

And if you could play with anyone living or dead, who would it be?

“If I was able to play with anyone it’d have to be Bob Dylan, he’s my hero.”

Orange unsignedAct with Sony Ericsson is on T4 this Sunday at 12.20PM
